On October 6th, 2024, Broad Student Senate embarked on its annual fall community service trip to Traverse City, MI! This year, our Senators enjoyed volunteering at the Grand Traverse Civic Center — where we helped trim overgrown tress, pick up liter, pull out weeds, and more in order to keep this beautiful park area clean. As Broad students, we find extreme value in giving back to our local Michigan community and we take great pride in supporting various non-profit organizations throughout the year.
Throughout our organization’s history, Broad Student Senate has supported the following non-profit organizations through volunteering, fundraising, and more:
Habitat for Humanity Grand Traverse Region
Make-A-Wish Foundation
Greater Lansing Food Bank
Special Olympics Michigan
Information Technology Empowerment Center (ITEC)
Haven House
Peace Ranch
Small Talk Children’s Advocacy Center
The Salvation Army Traverse City
